DRIVE Stakeholder Workshop on Deep CO₂ Removal to Take Place in Larissa

March 10, 2026

The DRIVE project will host an interactive stakeholder workshop titled “Exploring Deep CO₂ Removal: Challenges, Needs and Market Perspectives” on 27 March 2026 in Larissa, Greece, within the framework of the Innovent Forum.

The workshop aims to bring together industrial stakeholders, energy sector representatives, engineers, researchers and value-chain actors to discuss key challenges and opportunities related to the development and deployment of deep CO₂ removal solutions.

During the session, DRIVE partners will present insights into the technological processes currently being developed within the project, including advancements related to electrified CO₂ capture systems. In addition, a representative from a complementary European initiative will contribute an external perspective, fostering cross-project dialogue within the broader Clean Energy Transition ecosystem.

The workshop will focus on gathering stakeholder feedback on technical, economic and regulatory aspects, as well as exploring practical market perspectives. The objective is to ensure that the project’s technological developments respond effectively to real industrial needs and market conditions.

By creating a space for dialogue between research, industry and innovation actors, the workshop supports the DRIVE project’s broader mission of accelerating the deployment of scalable and flexible CO₂ removal solutions for energy-intensive sectors.
