Breakthrough CO₂ Capture Technology Developed by DRIVE Project Partners to Be Showcased at GHGT-17 Conference

May 14, 2024

The DRIVE project is happy to announce that our partners will be presenting groundbreaking advancements in CO₂ capture technology at the 17th International Conference on Greenhouse Gas Control Technologies (GHGT-17)  in  Calgary, Canada, from October 20th to 24th, 2024.

Specifically, our partners Peter Moser and Georg Wiechers from RWE Power AG, Peter van Os and Roberta Veronezi Figueiredo from TNO, and Diego D.D. Pinto from Hovyu B.V., key partners in the DRIVE project, will present the remarkable progress our collaboration has made so far. The presentation, titled “Demonstration of highest capture rates for deep removal – Pilot plant test with CO₂ capture rates from 98% to >99.9% with an AMP/PZ-based solvent,” will showcase the innovative solutions developed within the framework of the DRIVE project.

At the core of the presentation is the exploration of elevated CO₂capture rates using cutting-edge solvent technologies such as AMP and PZ. Through extensive testing at pilot plants, the DRIVE project seeks to validate the technical feasibility and economic viability of deep CO₂ removal, offering a pathway to carbon-neutral and carbon-negative industrial operations.

The participation of DRIVE project partners in GHGT-17 conference highlights the dedication to advancing climate-positive innovations and driving positive change in the fight against climate change.
